About this event

Due diligence entails companies systematically identifying, managing and monitoring their impacts on people and the environment. This course focuses on how to carry out due diligence in practice – from identifying and managing risks to monitoring outcomes and providing remediation where harm has occurred. You will learn practical methods for integrating due diligence into governance, contracts, dialogue and follow-up processes, while also building the foundation needed to meet the new requirements under the CSDDD and CSRD.

YOU WILL LEARN:

  • How the due diligence process works in practice: identifying risks, prioritising actions, preventing and managing impacts, and providing remediation where harm has occurred
  • How to integrate due diligence into policies, risk management and governance
  • Methods for assessing and managing risks and impacts in the supply chain
  • How to manage risks and impacts within your own operations, including risks affecting employees and contracted workers (for example cleaning, catering and security staff)
  • How to draft contracts that create the conditions for responsible business conduct together with and towards your suppliers
  • The role of audits, certifications and other measures – and how to use and prioritise them
  • How to build meaningful stakeholder dialogue and establish effective grievance mechanisms
  • Relevant legislation and due diligence requirements (CSDDD, CSRD, Forced Labour Regulation).

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the course, participants will gain:

  • A clear understanding of how the due diligence process is carried out in practice – from identifying and analysing risks to managing impacts and providing remediation where harm has occurred
  • Deeper knowledge of how to integrate due diligence into company governance, policies and processes, including the allocation of responsibilities and competencies
  • Insights and practical methods for assessing and managing sustainability risks both within the company’s own operations and throughout the supply chain – with a focus on contracts, follow-up and dialogue

The training will mainly be conducted in Swedish.
