May is a consultant and project manager at Enact. She mainly supports clients with setting up and improving their Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence processes, with a special focus on alignment with the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). Having followed the political development of due diligence laws for more than 6 years and between 2022 and 2024 worked closely with the policy makers negotiating the CSDDD in Brussels she has built a strong expertise in sustainability due diligence and the way in which the directive works. Previously she has worked both with advocacy, research and supporting companies and organisations on their sustainability journey.
She has lived and worked in Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Sweden, and Belgium and has most experience from the agrifood- and textile sectors. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Global Development and Political Science and has studied Human Rights Law and Ethics on master’s level.
