About this event

The Nordic regions and Enact invite suppliers, contracting authorities and other stakeholders to a webinar on recent EU developments in sustainability reporting and due diligence — with a focus on their practical implications for suppliers and sustainable public procurement.

In March, the European Commission adopted the Omnibus I package to simplify and harmonise key EU regulations on corporate sustainability reporting and due diligence. But what do these changes actually mean for companies, and for public buyers working with due diligence requirements in sustainable public procurement?

The webinar will provide suppliers with an update on the new EU developments, including what they may mean for sustainability reporting, due diligence and information requests in value chains. It will also support contracting authorities in understanding the requirements placed on companies, and how these may interact with contractual requirements and follow-up in public procurement.

During the webinar, we will:

  • provide an update on the Omnibus changes to key EU frameworks for corporate sustainability reporting and due diligence, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), the Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for non-listed SMEs (VSME) and the so-called value chain cap.
  • explain the distinction between sustainability reporting requirements and due diligence obligations;
  • discuss what the changes may mean for information requests to suppliers, including small and medium-sized enterprises;
  • explore practical implications for suppliers and contracting authorities in public procurement.

Moderator: Pauline Göthberg, national coordinator, Sustainable public procurement in the Swedish regions.
Speaker: Sandra Atler, Enact Sustainable Strategies AB, Director of the Human Rights & Business Practice Group, Recent member (2022-2026) of EFRAG Sustainability Reporting  TEG.
