Sofia is a senior advisor at Enact with over two decades of experience integrating sustainability into business strategy across industries, including corporate leadership in heavy industry, NGOs, and consulting. As a senior executive in one of the world’s largest companies, she has worked closely with executive management and boards, shaping sustainability strategies that align with broader business objectives. Sofia’s expertise includes sustainability governance, ESG reporting, regulatory compliance, supply-chain management, stakeholder engagement, and change management. As Head of Sustainability, she developed and implemented policies and initiatives covering climate action, environmental stewardship, human rights, health & safety, DEI, and circularity. Earlier in her career, Sofia worked at the intersection of international development cooperation, business strategy, and sustainability, gaining experience in leading organizational transformation and building cross-sector partnerships in emerging markets and complex environments. With extensive experience from markets across Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and East Asia, she understands the challenges of driving sustainability initiatives in diverse regulatory, economic, and social contexts.

Sofia’s work helps businesses navigate evolving regulations and integrate sustainability into operations through effective change management, ensuring long-term adoption and impact. Sofia supports organizations in developing sustainability strategies, setting KPIs, implementing roadmaps, due diligence and risk assessment, and improving reporting and engagement efforts. Sofia is also a frequent speaker and expert contributor to executive and board training programs, providing insights on strategy, sustainability governance and responsible business leadership.
