Nazrin is a Senior Advisor leading Enact’s work on forced labour and modern slavery. She is a human rights lawyer and a PhD candidate in Global Law & Governance at Tilburg University (Netherlands), researching forced labour in global supply chains. Nazrin is also a European Legal Advisor at the Responsible Contracting Project, contributing to the development of contractual tools that promote better outcomes for workers in global value chains.
She is a frequent lecturer on legal developments in business and human rights, having presented at the Sustainable Palm Oil Dialogue Europe, the Swedish Institute, Stockholm University Law Department, Stockholm International Business School, and Aktuell Hållbarhet, a leading Nordic sustainability media outlet.
At Enact, Nazrin has conducted human rights impact assessments for subsidiaries and suppliers of Swedish, Finnish, and Dutch multinational companies in third countries, including Turkey, Algeria, the UAE, and Poland. Her work has focused on sectors such as forestry, pulp and paper, and manufacturing.
Before joining Enact, she gained extensive international experience at the International Criminal Court, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. She has also worked in strategic human rights litigation at the Helsinki Human Rights Union and in policy development at Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation. Most recently, she was a Manager at KPMG Law in Sweden, advising on corporate sustainability regulations.
