About Irene
Dr. Irene Pietropaoli is recognised expert on business and human rights. Her extensive research covers corporate human rights due diligence and other aspects of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Moreover, she has extensive research experience in legislation on modern slavery in supply chains.
Irene has worked with NGOs and in different geographies, such as, Europe, Latin America, South and South-East Asia. She holds a PhD degree on corporate accountability and transitional justice, and she is an experienced writer and lecturer. Irene has deep knowledge of the EU deliberations on mHREDD legislation and has contributed to the EU Commission’s study on due diligence requirements through the supply chain and has extensive experience working with supply chains and forced labour issues.
