Irene is a Senior Consultant and project manager at Enact, based in Finland. She supports clients in their human rights and sustainability work more broadly. She is an experienced project manager, public speaker and facilitator of working groups, trainings and workshops.

Irene has worked with sustainability in various expert and leadership positions for over 18 years, both in Finland and internationally. Before joining Enact, Irene has worked for the Finnish government, various UN organizations, the World Bank, and managed a business in Tanzania. Throughout her career she has supported companies in their sustainability journeys and finding business opportunities particularly in emerging markets. Irene has extensive international and field experience from many high-risk countries like Tanzania, Vietnam, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Colombia, and Uganda. Through managing a company in Tanzania, Irene has very hands on experience on managing particularly many workers’ rights issues in challenging markets.

Irene has vast experience from working with topics like human rights, child rights, gender, climate, environment, biodiversity, Agenda 2030, sustainable finance, and cross-sector partnerships. Irene holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. She speaks Finnish, English, German, Spanish and Swedish.
