Integrated Reporting training approved by the IIRC

2 days starting

09.00 - 17.00

Integrated Reporting (IR) links financial and non-financial elements of the company’s business together and thus presents a holistic picture of the company’s value creation, business model and strategy. In this two-day training, you will learn how to report according to the <IR> Framework and how to combine Integrated Reporting with a sustainability report according to GRI. This training is approved by the IIRC, the organisation behind the <IR> Framework. After completing the training you will get a certificate issued by the IIRC.

Integrated Reporting discloses material information about an organisation’s strategy, governance, performance and prospects in a way that reflects the commercial, social and environmental context within which it operates. So rather than separately reporting on financial and non-financial aspects of the business, Integrated Reporting brings together the company’s value creation in different types of capital: financial capital, manufactured capital, intellectual capital, human capital, natural capital, and social and relationship capital.

This Integrated Reporting training aims at improving the participant’s knowledge of Integrated Reporting and is suitable for both non-financial and financial reporters.

What is covered in the training?

  • What Integrated Reporting is and how it is used
  • The benefits of Integrated Reporting
  • Value creation, the types of capital, the value creation process and achieving ‘integrated thinking’
  • Key elements of the <IR> Framework
  • How to prepare an integrated report and implement Integrated Reporting – from financial management to value management
  • Points of connection to GRI Standards
  • What is expected from a good quality integrated report
  • ‘Best practices’ examples from published reports

Objectives of the training
After the training participants will be able to:

  • Apply the fundamental concepts of value creation, the types of capital and the value creation process to an organisation.
  • Participate effectively as part of a team preparing an integrated report.
  • Participate effectively as part of a team planning and coordinating the implementation of Integrated Reporting, including integrated thinking, within an organisation.

Who is the training for?

This training is relevant for management team members and those involved in financial and non-financial reporting, such as managers of communication, finance, sustainability or investor relations.

Training approved by the IIRC

Enact is Training Foundation Partner to the IIRC and offers IIRC-approved training in the Nordic countries, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, South Africa, India and China. This training is organised by Bonnier Aktuell Hållbarhet in partnership with Enact. After completing the training, the participant will receive a certificate issued by the IIRC.

The IIRC and the <IR> Framework

The International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) is a global coalition of regulators, investors, companies, standard setters, the accounting profession and NGOs. Key players in the IIRC include the International Federation of Accountants, IFRS Foundation (International Financial Reporting Standards) and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). IIRC released the International <IR> Framework in 2013. Based on the idea of ‘integrated thinking’, the <IR> Framework seeks to explain the fundamental concepts, principles and content requirements underlying an integrated report.

The training will be conducted in English.
