GRI Standards in practice

09.00 - 17.00

Welcome to our continuation course in sustainability reporting according to GRI Standards. The course is directed towards you that have already undergone a Certified GRI Standards training, or have equivalent prior knowledge. The focus of this course is on how to practically implement GRI standards in your organisation and to develop a plan for your upcoming reporting.

Throughout the course, we will develop a project plan for your organisation’s reporting process so that you can start working on the report directly after the course’s end.

We will discuss good examples of how other relevant organisations have applied GRI Standards in different parts of the reporting process. Experience will be exchanged where concepts of success are lifted and pitfalls are discussed.

The course goes through

  • Developing a project plan for your organisation’s reporting process so that you can start working on the report directly after the course’s end
  • Tools and approaches for conducting a horizon scanning, including comparison with industry colleagues, as an initial step of the reporting process
  • How you as an organisation can map and prioritize your organisation’s specific stakeholders
  • What you should think about regarding preparations, when conducting stakeholder dialogue, as well as in the compilation of results. For example, we go through the design of questionnaires and surveys, other practical methods and the weighting of received stakeholder answers
  • How you as an organisation practically can go about when conducting a materiality assessment based on the interests and expectations of stakeholders and the impact of your organisation
  • How you can set relevant targets linked to your material topics and how to report your management approach

The course is directed at

  • You who have undergone our certified 2-day course in GRI Standards sustainability reporting. This course can advantageously be taken in close connection to the 2-day basic course or by you who need to refresh your knowledge before your upcoming reporting.
  • You who have equivalent prior knowledge in GRI Standards.

The goal with the course

The goal with this course is to help you work practically with GRI Standards in your organisation. Through exercises and discussions with a focus on their own organisation, the participants receive tools to get started with or advance their reporting process. The participants will leave the course with a draft project plan for their upcoming reporting and have a deeper understanding of what the use of GRI Standards means for the participants’ own organisation.

The training will mainly be conducted in Swedish.

This training is organized by Bonnier Aktuell Hållbarhet in partnership with Enact. Enact has trained more than 1100 people in GRI. For more, check out Enact’s all upcoming trainings and events here!
