On August 14, Enact’s Gothenburg office was officially opened, at Kronhusgatan 11 in central Gothenburg. Mattias Iweborg, Co-founder and CEO at Enact, comments the opening of the office:
“I am so happy that we finally open up in Gothenburg. For me it feels like a kind of home-coming; Enact’s first client when we started in 2005 was Volvo Cars. Since then we have worked with numerous companies, authorities and organizations in west and south Sweden, grown to 22 employees and opened up offices in Amsterdam and Shanghai in addition to our headquarters in Stockholm. By establishing ourselves in Gothenburg, we will be better suited to handle our expansion in this part of Sweden. An equally important driver is the city’s pivotal role as a spear-head in sustainability, in areas such as personal transport and tomorrow’s housing.”
To celebrate the opening of the new office, a Launch Mingle will be held on October 25th. In the pipeline is also a number of events, seminars and workshops, arranged in Gothenburg and the surrounding region. Some examples include a Roundtable on Business and Human Rights, Trainings on Sustainable Supply Chains and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and Workshops on Sustainability in the Public Sector. Lunch seminars will also be a recurring event.
David Carlsson, head of Enact’s Gothenburg office, says: “We will arrange lunch seminars that we call Lunch ‘n’ Learn, which is an opportunity for anyone interested in sustainability to learn more about different aspects of it while having a bite. These seminars will cover a wide range of topics, ranging from The Keys to a Successful Sustainability Strategy, to Envisioning the Sustainable City”.
David Carlsson will together with Emma Björner run the office and operations in Gothenburg, yet with frequent company of other colleagues from the Enact team. David has extensive experience from supporting organisations in various sectors with sustainability strategy, sustainability reporting, supply chain management, human rights, and more. Emma has wide knowledge of sustainability tied to branding, communication and marketing, in the context of businesses and the public sector.
