Seminar: Sourcing from China with a human rights lens
Date: Wednesday 24 May 2023
Time: 9am – 11am (CEST)
Location: face to face seminar, Amsterdam, the Netherlands (venue tbd)
Costs: Free of charge
Does your company source products, (raw) materials or services from China? Can you conduct human rights due diligence in China now – and if so, how? How can you communicate about human rights when engaging with rightsholders inside the country? How can you effectively manage human rights impacts from abroad?
With China’s regulatory environment posing challenges for responsible sourcing, this seminar will provide guidance, practical solutions and insights to help you make ethical purchasing decisions from a human rights perspective. The session provides an opportunity to discuss the challenges you may be facing and create a collaborative space for participants to learn from one another.
Due to the delicate nature of the topic, the session will only be held face to face. Of course, we will respect Chatham House rules.
Don’t miss out on this chance to gain valuable knowledge and network with other sustainability professionals and experts!
Speakers: Sandra Atler, Director of Enact Human Rights Business Practice Group, and Charlotte Vollaard, human rights expert and consultant.
Facilitator: Sergio Pengel, sustainability consultant at Enact.
