On 20-22 November more than 100 experts from 37 countries are gathering at Runö in the outskirts of Stockholm to talk on the theme of social dialogue.
This year’s SISF is the largest forum ever organised by the Swedish Institute. It is co-organised by the Swedish Institute and the Swedish Trade Union Confederation (LO) in collaboration with the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Swedish Confederation of Professional Employees (TCO) and the United Nations Global Compact*.
The theme Let’s Talk! is inspired by the Global Deal Initiative.
Enact has been the key designer and coordinator of the event since 2013.
Each year the forum has a selected sustainability theme as the focus of the 48-hour think tank. The Swedish Institute Sustainability Forum 2017 (SISF 2017) – Let’s Talk! is inspired by Global Deal, a global partnership for decent working conditions and inclusive growth initiated by the Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven who delivered a keynote speech during the first 24 hours of the Forum. Among the participants we find Omar Faruk Osman Nur, Secretary General of the Nation Union of Somali Journalists, Carolina Alvear Sevilla, Sustainability Director at FEMSA in Mexico and Alline Kabbatende, Minister of Youth and ICT in Rwanda.
