People are different. Nevertheless, many companies work with relatively stereotypical images of customers, suppliers, the public and the own co-workers.

Consequently, they do not maximize the opportunities offered by the market and competences. In the worst case, they run the risk of discriminating, damaging the trust for the company.

When a company sees and makes the best use of the opportunities offered by diversity – among customers, suppliers, the public, co-workers and other important stakeholders – the business can increase its innovation potential, better meet the needs of the customers, communicate more effectively, strengthen the brand, turn more attractive as an employer and, therefore, be more profitable.

Diversity is a perspective which is best used when it is integrated in the whole business culture, becoming a natural part of the daily activities of the company. Specific tools are diversity strategies focusing on business purpose, diversity plans with concrete activities, training, reviews of internal processes (product development, marketing, recruiting etc.)
