Kristina Bäckstrand
Kristina Bäckstrand started at Enact 2009 and have so far worked with climate and energy projects, stakeholder relations and materiality analyses. She is also developing Enact's climate and energy services. in addition, she has lectured and trained on climate issues at several occasions.
Kristina holds a Ph.D. degree within environmental and climate change studies based on research carried out in the Arctic, facilitated by Stockholm University. Kristina also has a master degree in physical geography from Lund University and University of Auckland, New Zealand. Her academic background has provided her with a broad experience of local and global environmental change, risk analysis related to climate change and use of natural resources.
During her time in academia, Kristina founded and chaired a national network for early career scientists and today she serves at the Board of the international Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS).
In addition to Swedish, Kristina speaks English.
