Seminar May 11 - Doing business in conflict zones

Many companies are doing business in conflict-affected countries or in fragile states. Other companies are looking into the possibility of establishing a business in countries where conflicts are likely to break out – often without having sufficient knowledge of humanitarian law.

How does international humanitarian law affect companies? What are the risks of doing business in conflict or post-conflict areas? How do you assess risks in a new market?

Enact is organising a seminar in partnership with Diakonia, a Swedish organisation for international development co-operation. The aim of the seminar is to highlight corporate responsibility in conflict zones and examine how companies can assess the situation and the risks in a country where they are established or want to open a business.
