Production of an annual CR report

Business challenge
Our client is a Swedish industrial player with a history of producing annual sustainability reports. As the company doesn't put out a traditional annual report, the sustainability report is its only form of annual external reporting. Ambitious in its focus on sustainability, the company wanted to continuously develop its reporting and maintain its focus on sustainability issues, adapting its structure to key stakeholders.

How we helped
Enact has been an external project leader for the company's CR report for three years. In managing the task our role has been to conduct interviews, collecting and organising data in line with GRI guidelines, writing and translating documents, co-ordinating the graphic production and assisting in presenting the report on the company website. Enact has also been directly involved with the strategic development of the company's annual reporting. This has involved analysing key stakeholders as well as going through previous work in order to regain focus on vital issues.

Results
Our work has resulted in annual sustainability reports for 2004, 2005 and 2006. During 2006 our client became one of the the finalists of the AXA Award for Corporate Sustainability, which is presented by the European Business Awards, for its sustainability work and reporting. Enact is currently working on the company's 2008 CR Report.
