Analysis and reporting about priority areas and expectations
Business challenge
Our client is a very large Swedish company with bases in several countries. It's been actively involved with sustainability issues for a long time. During the last decade it has reported on social and environmental aspects of its business methods.
Already in 2006 the company chose to follow the GRI G3, the latest version of the Global Reporting Initiative guidelines for reporting on sustainability issues. The aim was to take its sustainability reporting further, one way of which was through communicating its priorities in the sustainability field more clearly.
How we helped
Enact assisted the client in planning and introducing a so-called priority analysis and a review of the expectations from the most important company stakeholders. Enact mapped out the most important strategic issues and partner organisations with the senior management team. Having done this some 70 internal and external associates were involved in order to make the right priorities and present their expectations on the company.
Results
The results have been presented to the company board and they have been used to further develop the company's sustainability strategy. It's also been used as a basis for chosing focal points for the company's external reporting. The report outlines why these are focal points for the company, and their significance. This analysis, which we call a priority analysis is a requirement for companies who follow the most extensive GRI G3 guidelines, level A.
